The Alexis de Tocqueville SocietyThe Alexis de Tocqueville Society recognizes the French historian's admiration for our country's spirit of voluntary effort for the common good. Members of the society are recognized for their gift of $10,000 or more in the local Constitution Society membership roster and in the annual United Way of America national registry. There are over 19,500 members of the Alexis de Tocqueville Society from 350 communities nationwide. Their contributions total more than $422 million cumulative dollars for health and human services.
