At United Way of the Capital Area (“UWCA”) we
take the business of investing and managing your gift very seriously. We are
committed to effective, efficient fund-raising and asset management.
Our objective is to generate the maximum return on donor contributions. Since
our incorporation in 1924, UWCA has been meeting human care needs in Hartford
and the surrounding 40-town region of north central Connecticut. In addition to
raising more than a quarter of a million dollars through our annual community
campaign, UWCA mobilizes resources beyond these pledged dollars to support this
community. We are able to do this through effective financial practices and
management along with a dedicated (and growing) network of partner agencies,
volunteers and community leaders. It is from these partnerships that United Way
of the Capital Area continues to maintain a strong financial position and ensure
that your contributions are received by those who need them most in our
community!
