The mission of FTFD is to preserve Town Farm Dairy as an environmentally sound, sustainable, working dairy farm, providing education, building community support and serving the needs of the local community and its poor. We are currently working to establish the support of the Simsbury Board of Selectmen for our application to be a non-profit group which will maintain and support the farm. Town Farm Dairy operates on land deeded to the Town of Simsbury 120 years ago by Amos Eno as a poor farm. We hope to keep the current farmers on as managers and raise community support for local, environmentally sound agriculture.

Since 1988, the Hartford Community Center has been dedicated to serving the needs of the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex community. We outreach regionally to the Greater Hartford area and provide meeting space for numerous support groups and social events, as well as an informational and organizational hub. The Center is a safe place to meet, a source of strength and pride, a place to dance, a place to meet people, and a place to find what we need, to hope and to dream. Center programs serve our community in countless ways, fulfilling many of our social, emotional, cultural, spiritual, and political aspirations.
