Directions to United Way of the Capital Area

From I-84 Eastbound or Westbound
Take Exit 46, Sisson Avenue. At the end of the ramp turn left onto Sisson Avenue and travel one block to first traffic light at Capitol Avenue. Turn left onto Capitol Avenue and proceed through one traffic light, passing U-Haul on your right to second traffic light at Laurel Street. Take a right onto Laurel Street. United Way building and parking lot are approximately 500 feet down on your left.

Laurel Street intersects with three major east-west cross streets: Farmington Avenue by Taco-Bell; Park Street by the Park Place Towers; and Capitol Avenue by Capitol Archives.

FROM HARTFORD AND POINTS EAST
Route 84 West to Exit 39A, Route 9 South. Follow Route 9 South to the Chestnut Street exit, which is a left hand exit. At the end of the exit, take a right onto Chestnut Street. Go straight through two traffic lights. At the third traffic light, continue straight, crossing over Main Street, onto Walnut Street. *At the top of Walnut Street, you can only go right; then take your first right onto Court Street, which is a one way street. The United Way offices are located in the last building on the street on the left. There is on-street parking. Look for the Maguire Group Architects sign and enter the elevator lobby there. We are on the fourth floor.

FROM WATERBURY AND POINTS WEST
Route 84 East to Exit 35, Route 72, New Britain. Follow Route 72 to the Main Street exit, which is Exit 9. At the end of the exit, take a right onto the Harry Truman Overpass. At the traffic light, take a right onto Chestnut Street. At the next traffic light, continue straight, crossing over Main Street, onto Walnut Street. *Follow from above.

FROM ROUTE 91
Follow Route 9 North to Exit 26, Columbus Boulevard/Downtown exit. At the end of the exit, continue straight, moving into the left lane. The Post Office building will be on your left at this traffic intersection. Take a left onto Chestnut Street. Go straight through two traffic lights. At the third traffic light, continue straight, crossing over Main Street, onto Walnut Street. *Follow from above.

Directions to Windham Region United Way
From I-84 East
Take I-84 East to 384 East. 384 East leads to Route 6. Follow Route 6 to the intersection of Routes 6 & 66 in Columbia. Turn left onto Route 6. Take the first exit. At the end of the exit, take a right onto Route 32/Main Street. The United Way office is located on the right at 720 Main Street on the third floor, in the same building as WILI Radio and across the street from Liberty Bank and the American Red Cross.

From Route 32 South
Follow Route 32 South into Willimantic. This is Main Street. The United Way office is located on the right at 720 Main Street on the third floor in the same building as WILI Radio and across the street from Liberty Bank and the American Red Cross.
