United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut is the organization people choose to deliver lasting results. Our partnerships are built on:

Values and Beliefs
Organizational values/beliefs are guideposts that should reinforce the
organization’s mission and vision. The following are agreed upon
values/beliefs:
- Promoting shared responsibility for advancing the common good;
- Recognizing that our diversity strengthens us, we pursue
participation from all segments of our community;
- Recognizing the contributions and potential of both volunteers and
staff;
- Promoting preventative solutions whenever possible;
- Promoting the integration of services to better meet community
needs;
- Respecting the integrity of United Way partners;
- Respecting the right of every individual to exercise
self-determination in charitable giving; and
- Recognizing the need for a core network of services to maintain our
community’s quality of life and to provide a safety net for multiple
problems faced by people in need.

is the national service and training center, supporting members like
United Way of the Capital Area with services that include training,
corporate relations, research and government relations. United Way of
America makes no policy decisions for local United Ways.
United Way of
Connecticut is the state association of local United Ways that
serves as a liaison to state government, facilitates collaboration among
local United Ways on issues of common concern, and manages the statewide
information and referral service, INFOLINE.
